The Federal Ministry of Health (CDU) wants to push through its original draft without any changes, which is meeting with fierce resistance from its coalition partner, the SPD. The coalition is completely divided on all key issues relating to cannabis, including the Cannabis Consumer Act (KCanG), so further tightening of the law is not to be expected, but neither are further agreements. It remains to be seen whether the current prescription practice will lead to criminal investigations!
